Gulf amber, Indian saffron, Assam oud — these are not ingredients that European fragrance houses use out of cultural instinct. They use them out of market research. We use them because we are from here. Because saffron in a chai on a winter morning is a lived experience, not a reference point from a textbook.

Mystic Amber started as a conversation about what "amber" actually means to someone who grew up around incense, oud, and resin — not around the synthetic amber accords that fill luxury department stores. The answer took 18 months and 21 formula iterations.

The final formula is built around a Gulf amber-saffron accord that we sourced specifically for its metallic warmth — the exact quality that makes Middle Eastern amber fragrances command the prices they do. That same quality is now in a ₹1,095 bottle.

Getting Gulf amber and Indian saffron to coexist without either dominating took 21 formula versions. The breakthrough came when we introduced Sri Lankan cinnamon as a bridge note — it kept the spice alive through the heart without interfering with the amber's golden warmth.

“Oriental amber is the hardest category to get right at any price point. The amber has to read as resinous and golden — not plasticky or cheap. The saffron has to feel metallic and warm, not medicinal. The oud has to add depth without overwhelming. Getting all three to coexist took 21 iterations and 18 months. Mystic Amber is what that sounds like when it works.”
