I absolutely loved the king of blues simply because it felt really good and it was not like the other perfumes which felt synthetic it was projecting for a long period of time and smelled amazing.
Perfect summer scent, safe, projects and performs like a beast in our our insane heat, exactly as mentioned. Thoroughly satisfied. Would've loved a tiny sample of one or two of your other scents as I might order another one come winter. Thanks.
I have had the YSL EDP for many years, a truly exceptional scent profile and performance is insane.
Considering the king of blues is only a fraction of the price, it's absolutely worth buying and going heavy on the trigger. The performance of the KOB on clothes is similar to the claimed number but the sillage doesn't quite hit the mark. It turns into a close skin scent within the first 2 hours. One definitely does get strong whiffs from time to time.
Go ahead, buy it with confidence and spray your life away.
I recently made a blind purchase of the 50ml King of Blues alongside the 10ml Icons discovery set (all five fragrances).
The Icons lineup is genuinely impressive. The quality is top-notch, the notes are clearly discernible, and it’s obvious the team put a lot of hard work into crafting them. I’m already confident one of them will become my new signature scent.
Unfortunately, King of Blues—which I bought based on great online reviews to use as a daily office scent—was a major disappointment. The quality just isn't there, and it smells like a low-end, mass-market fresh fragrance. I’m surprised and wondering if this is simply a bad batch issue.
This inconsistency makes me a bit hesitant about future purchases from God Of Essence. That said, I see incredible potential for the brand if they can maintain the high quality of the across all batches and collections.
