We did not set out to beat Cool Water. We asked a simpler question — what does the Indian ocean actually smell like on your skin?

The aquatic category is the most democratised in perfumery. Every brand has a marine cologne. Most of them smell identical — a synthetic aquatic accord, some citrus, and white musk. None of them are built around Indian vetiver or coastal Indian mineral accords.

We started with the idea that the ocean in Majestic Waves should feel specifically Indian — the mineral richness of the Konkan coast, the way warm sea air smells different from the Mediterranean. That required sourcing a sea-mineral accord from Indian coastal references rather than the standard Calone synthetic used in every European aquatic.

The breakthrough came when we paired that with Indian vetiver root in the base — khus, the material Indian households have used for centuries in summer cooling. At 42% extrait, the vetiver creates a longevity that no Cool Water product can touch.

No. Majestic Waves is an original God of Essence creation. It shares the aquatic-masculine fragrance family with Cool Water Intense, but uses an Indian coastal sea-mineral accord, Indian vetiver root, and a Swiss aquatic base to create a completely different formula. The Indian khus vetiver in the base is unique — Cool Water does not have it.
Why does aquatic smell different on different people?+
Skin chemistry dramatically affects aquatic fragrances. On warmer skin, the sea salt and bergamot project more boldly and the vetiver reads smokier. Yes — with adjustments. In summer and spring, the aquatic freshness is at its best — 4–5 sprays is perfect.
