Pear
Juicy, soft and a little green. It gives the first few minutes their brightness.

Pear and rosemary first. Then spice. Then vanilla on warm skin.
Invisible Crown is a gourmand, aromatic vanilla perfume for men. Pear, orange peel and rosemary open it. Cinnamon, star anise and clove warm the heart, and vanilla, amber resin, brown sugar and a wisp of smoke settle underneath. It’s an extrait de parfum with 40–45% fragrance oil, blended in India from oils sourced from Italy, France and Switzerland. In our wear tests it lasts 8–9 hrs on skin and 14–18 hrs on fabric. It wears close, for the people near you rather than the whole room. If you like Parfums de Marly Layton, you’ll know the style.

Ten notes, in the order you meet them: fruit and herbs, then warm spice, then vanilla and resin with a wisp of smoke. Tap any note to put it under the spotlight.
Juicy, soft and a little green. It gives the first few minutes their brightness.
Did you knowPears don’t give up an oil you can bottle, so perfumers rebuild the smell of a ripe pear from scratch.
Zesty, sweet and sunny. The spark that lifts the pear.
Did you knowOrange oil is pressed from the peel, not the fruit. The tiny dots on an orange’s skin are its oil glands.
Green, herbal and clean, like a crushed sprig. It’s the “aromatic” on the label.
Did you knowRosemary was the key herb in Hungary Water, one of the first alcohol-based perfumes in Europe.
Warm, sweet and woody. It brings the heat into the heart.
Did you knowCinnamon is tree bark. It curls into quills as it dries, and in Indian kitchens it’s dalchini.
Sweet and a little like liquorice. A soft spice that rounds out the cinnamon.
Did you knowStar anise is the dried fruit of an evergreen tree. Its sweet smell comes from anethole, the same molecule in saunf.
Warm, dark and a little smoky. A small amount goes a long way.
Did you knowCloves are flower buds, picked before they open and dried until they turn brown. In Hindi, laung.
Creamy, sweet and comforting. The heart of the dry-down, and the note people lean in for.
Did you knowVanilla comes from an orchid. Each flower opens for about a day, and most are pollinated by hand.
Warm, resinous and glowing. It holds the vanilla close to your skin.
Did you knowAmber in perfume isn’t the fossil. It’s a warm blend built from resins like labdanum and benzoin.
Toasted and caramel-soft. It’s the “gourmand” on the label.
Did you knowGourmand perfumes are young. The style took off in 1992 with Thierry Mugler’s Angel.
A wisp, like a candle just blown out. It keeps the sweetness grown-up.
Did you knowSmoky notes often come from birch tar, the same material that gave old Russian leather its smoky smell.
A crown is hidden somewhere in the room. You can’t see it, but you can smell it. Tap a square to sniff: from far away you catch pear and rosemary, closer in it’s spice, and right next to it, vanilla. Three rooms. Fewest taps wins.
Tap a square to start sniffing.
The closer you get, the deeper the notes: top notes from a distance, spice when you’re warm, vanilla when you’re right beside it. Distance counts diagonally too.

Drag through the night and watch how Invisible Crown changes, from bright pear to the vanilla your collar still holds the next morning.
Pear and orange peel, bright and juicy, with a green lift of rosemary. Fresh enough to feel easy, sweet enough to hint at what’s coming.
PearOrange peelRosemaryCinnamon, star anise and clove come through, warm and sweet, like a spice tin opened in a warm kitchen. This is the part people ask about when they’re close.
CinnamonStar aniseCloveVanilla and brown sugar rise through the spice, and amber resin makes it glow. It moves in close to your skin here. Your own nose may stop noticing it before others do.
VanillaBrown sugarAmber resinVanilla, resin and a wisp of smoke, warm and personal. Noticed when someone leans in, not across the room. In our wear tests it lasts 8–9 hrs on skin.
VanillaAmber resinSmokeYour collar or jacket holds it longest. Pick it up the next day and the vanilla and smoke are still there.
On fabric: 14–18 hrsTimings are typical. Your skin, the weather and how many sprays you use will all change them.
Scored out of 10, then how Invisible Crown feels in a room, and what 40–45% oil means next to the labels you already know.
Pear, orange peel and rosemary make the first few minutes bright. After that it’s warm, not fresh.
Vanilla and brown sugar make it sweet, but spice and smoke keep it from tasting like dessert. One reviewer wanted it sweeter still.
It wears close by design, and one reviewer found the projection very low. Spray your collar for more trail.
Cinnamon, clove, amber resin and vanilla. A cool-weather, after-dark warmth.
Ten notes across three acts: fruit and herbs, then spice, then vanilla, resin and smoke.
Our read of the scent, not lab data. Intensity is scored on projection, not on how long it lasts.
It wears close, so people notice it when they’re near you. Want more trail? Add two sprays to your collar or jacket. One reviewer found the projection very low.
More oil means more scent left behind once the alcohol dries, which shows most on fabric. It also means fewer sprays. Ranges come from the standard perfume concentration guide. More in why oil concentration matters.
Invisible Crown is our take on the fruity, aromatic vanilla style that Layton made a favourite for nights out. Both open with fruit and herbs and dry down to spiced vanilla. Ours swaps apple and lavender for pear and rosemary, uses cinnamon, star anise and clove for the spice, and adds amber resin, brown sugar and smoke. Kilian’s Angels’ Share sits close by too, with cognac and cinnamon. Our own formula, not a copy. Smell them side by side and trust your nose.

All three liked the scent. One found it faded fast, one says a new bottle needs time to settle, and one wanted more vanilla and spice. Here’s all of it, with what we’d tell each of them.

Maceration required
“Kindly do it beforehand, solid fragrance though!”
Our replyThank you, Pranav. You’re right that a new bottle can smell sharper at first. If yours does, give it a week or two with the cap on, away from heat and sunlight, then try it again.
Good Party fragrance
“But should have more Vanilla and spicy”
Our replyThanks, Nikhil. If you want more vanilla and spice, try Spellbound (cognac, cinnamon, praline and vanilla) or Mystic Amber (spicy amber, tobacco and vanilla).
Good scent, doesn’t last more than 30 mins
“Like the scent, but very low projection”
Our replyThank you, Vishal. Invisible Crown is made to wear close, but 30 minutes isn’t what we see in our wear tests (8–9 hrs on skin). Two things help: moisturise before you spray, and add two sprays to your collar or jacket, where it lasts longest. Your own nose also stops noticing a scent you’re wearing long before the people near you do. If it still vanishes, write to hello@godofessence.com with your order details and we’ll look into your bottle.
It’s a warm scent that stays near your skin, so where you spray matters as much as how much. Pick the night and the weather, and we’ll tell you both.
3–4sprays
Where: your neck and chest, plus one on your collar.
What to expect: pear and spice first, then vanilla close to your skin.
AC rooms keep the vanilla smooth and close. No change needed.
Fabric holds it longest, 14–18 hrs in our tests. Two sprays on a collar or jacket lining, from arm’s length. Test a hidden seam first, and skip silk.
Dry skin lets scent fade faster. An unscented lotion first helps it hold. More in how to make perfume last longer.
If the first sprays smell sharp or thin, leave it capped, away from heat and light, for a week or two. One reviewer says it’s worth it.
One spray over True Gentleman warms it up for the office. Our layering guide has more pairings.
Some men announce themselves. Others just walk in, and the people nearest them notice something warm they can’t quite name. Invisible Crown is for the second kind.
It opens with pear, orange peel and rosemary, bright and a little green. Then cinnamon, star anise and clove warm it up, and vanilla, amber resin and brown sugar settle on the skin with a wisp of smoke. It doesn’t fill the room. It waits for the room to come to you.
“A crown nobody sees, and everyone near you can feel.”
That closeness is a choice, and it isn’t for everyone: one reviewer found the projection too low. If you want a trail, spray your collar. Ours runs at 40–45% oil, with oils sourced from Italy, France and Switzerland and blended in India. Not sure yet? Try a 10 ml vial first, or write to hello@godofessence.com and we’ll help you choose.

Warm, sweet and softly spiced. It opens with pear, orange peel and rosemary. Cinnamon, star anise and clove form the heart, and vanilla, amber resin, brown sugar and a wisp of smoke make the base. The bottle sums it up: gourmand, aromatic, vanilla. Read more about vanilla.
It's in the same fruity, aromatic vanilla style. Both open with fruit and herbs and dry down to spiced vanilla. Layton uses apple, lavender, florals and cardamom. Invisible Crown uses pear, rosemary, cinnamon, star anise and clove, with amber resin, brown sugar and smoke. It's our own formula at 40–45% oil, not a copy.
In our wear tests it lasts 8–9 hrs on skinand 14–18 hrs on fabric. It wears close, so you may stop noticing it before others do. One reviewer found it faded within 30 minutes. If it seems short on you, moisturise first and spray your collar. More in why perfume fades faster on some skin.
No. It's a close-wearing scent, noticed when people are near you rather than across the room. For more trail, spray fabric, and use 4 to 5 sprays for a party.
Your nose gets used to a scent you're wearing and stops reporting it, while people near you can still smell it. Smell your collar or wrist after a break. If it's really gone, write to hello@godofessence.com and we'll look into your bottle.
One reviewer felt it needed maceration, meaning time to settle. If a new bottle smells sharp or thin, give it a week or two with the cap on, away from heat and sunlight.
It's made for men, and it works on anyone who loves warm vanilla and spice. One reviewer called it a good party fragrance.
Evenings, dates, dinners and parties, and cool weather. It's warm and sweet, so it shines in AC rooms and winter nights more than in afternoon heat.
Two to three for the office, three to four for a date, and four to five for a party. Add one or two to your collar for a longer trail.
The fragrance oils are sourced from Italy, France and Switzerland, and the perfume is blended in India.
It means 40–45% of what's in the bottle is fragrance oil. The rest is the alcohol that sprays it. An eau de parfum usually holds 15 to 20% oil, and an eau de toilette 5 to 15%. More oil leaves more scent behind once the alcohol dries, so you need fewer sprays.
It follows IFRA standards, the global safety rules for fragrance ingredients. It is paraben-free, phthalate-free, vegan and not tested on animals. If your skin is sensitive, patch test on your inner arm first. Read more in the IFRA Standards Library.
